Current research shows that Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) accelerates the healing process of acute injuries by 30-70%. This can be especially applicable in patients who have recently had a stroke, surgery, bone fracture, wounds, and so much more.
Your biological age can be clinically measured by the end-caps of your DNA, called the telomeres.
As you age, they deteriorate and shorten.
Research has shown that Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy INCREASES the length of these telomeres, reversing your biological age at the DNA level. Studies have shown ages decreasing by as much as 10 years.
Most bacterial infections are anaerobic, meaning they do not survive in an oxygenated environment. By hyperoxygenating with HBOT, you give your body what it needs to fight the infection itself.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy can increase the number of synapses in a process called synaptogenesis. Arborization is another phenomenon observed, where the nerve endings grow like trees. This has been shown to improve neurological performance to treat conditions like PTSD, autism, dementia, auto-immune conditions and more.
Successful athletes around the world take advantage of the rapid recovery and performance enhancement facilitated by HBOT. Lebron James, Novak Djokovic, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt are some of the more outspoken advocates for this powerful technology.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy also has anti-inflammatory properties due to the reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokines. Furthermore, HBOT improves mitochondrial dysfunction, as well as upregulating the production of antioxidant enzymes.

No; for us to be able to apply hyperbarics to "off-label" conditions, Havasu Health and Hyperbarics is not able to use an insurance-based payment model. For those who have one of the 14 approved indications for HBOT, a Superbill is provided upon request, which can be submitted to insurance by the individual.
Yes, a prescription for hyperbaric oxygen therapy is required, which can easily be attained either through your primary care physician or most specialists. Telemedicine appointments are also available with a hyperbaric specialist which can quickly expedite this process.
